All patient visits are made by appointment only. This allows the doctors and staff to dedicate their time to deal specifically with your needs.
Please understand that insurance is a method of payment and not a method of treatment. Making decisions about your healthcare should not be based on what is “covered” by an insurance plan. We are not under contract with any insurance carrier. It is your responsibility to know if you are allowed to go out of network or not.
Plans vary widely in coverage. Fee schedules are developed by the insurance company and have little to do with the actual cost of your care. When a plan states it will pay 80%, it means 80% of an arbitrarily derived fee, not necessarily our fee. Any information gathered via the internet or by phone is an estimate and not a guarantee of payment. Upon processing a claim your insurance plans frequency clauses, guidelines and criteria will ultimately determine coverage and benefits.
We are glad to help you get appropriate reimbursement from your insurance plan. We can also submit a predetermination of benefits for your treatment. All of this must be done in writing and takes 4-6 weeks to get a reply. Please understand that this predetermination is not a guarantee of coverage or payment and is only utilized by this office for 6 months as your benefits may change during that time.
If you elect to proceed with treatment without procuring a predetermination, any co-pays that are given to you are only an estimate and not a guarantee of payment. The estimate we will give you will be derived from information given to us by your insurance carrier.
If you have questions about your insurance coverage, we will be glad to help you get answers. Insurance coverage is a contract between you or your employer and the insurance company. We are not their client, you are! For this reason it may be difficult to obtain information that is readily available to you. And for this reason you have more leverage with the insurance carrier.
We pledge to help you receive maximum benefits allowable under your insurance plan. To do this we must have current, accurate information about your coverage.
